About The Outdoor Business Alliance (OBA)
The Outdoor Business Alliance is a hub for outdoor businesses in Western North Carolina. Founded in 2013 by a small group of gear manufacturers, OBA has grown into a robust network with over 100 member companies. These members span all sectors of the outdoor economy, from gear builders to service providers, all dedicated to responsible manufacturing, cutting-edge innovation, and economic growth.
OBA is all about collaboration and support. They provide resources and a strong network to help their members thrive. Activities include events like the annual Get In Gear Fest, which showcases the latest outdoor gear and fosters community connections. They also run the Waypoint Accelerator, a program designed to support early-stage, outdoor-focused companies.
