- More Pricing Controls – Klaviyo is aligning plans with actual profile usage, eliminating confusion. An Appreciation Discount of 25% to ensure a smooth transition.
- Auto-Tier Downgrade – New features help control spending during peak seasons or automatically adjust your plan.
- Easier List Cleaning & Management – Cleaning inactive contacts improves deliverability and cost efficiency.

Here’s how to decide:
For Fixed Budgets – Best for businesses that need strict cost control.
- Use Auto-Downgrade to reduce costs when your profile count drops.
- Keep Flex Sending off to maintain predictable spending.
For Seasonal Spikes – Best for brands that experience Black Friday or holiday surges.
- Use Flex Sending to scale up email/SMS volume when needed.
- Combine with Auto-Downgrade to automatically return to a lower tier post-season.
For Consistently Growing Brands – Ideal for businesses that are expanding their audience.
- Enable Auto-Upgrade so you never hit sending limits.
- Skip Auto-Downgrade since your audience is continuously growing.
Unsupported Combinations
- Auto-Upgrade & Auto-Downgrade cannot be enabled at the same time.
- Flex Sending cannot be combined with Auto-Upgrade for sends.
